Look, just because the medium has changed, the behaviors and the buzz didn’t. Music releases aren’t dead.

Music releases are social events — everyone at least tells someone to listen to a new song. It’s discovery. It’s vanity. It’s pop-culture. Music is now promoted by the fans, not the gatekeepers. 261,000 RSVPs for this online event isn’t bad — and it’s only getting bigger from here.

And here are some initial stats. It seems to have worked. The mentions of Lady Gaga and her album and title track seems to have grown substantially for the music release. Let’s also keep in mind, Egypt overthrew their government today.

It’s not just Lady Gaga. Have you thought about your fans and your next product launch?
