This morning, I spoke on a session about email marketing at TechPhx. TechPhx is a free two-day event for locals who come together, share content, tips, insights and even a bit of nerdy humor relating to technology, social media and marketing. They have an awesome crew who work hard to put on a great event.
Anyhow, I covered specifics around a basic email marketing strategy (based on the Infusionsoft’s Lifecycle Marketing concepts) that small businesses and entrepreneurs can do to generate leads on a predictable and regular basis. I often see a lot of businesses have great websites, some decent social audiences, but huge gaping holes around customer acquisition. So, this is a great way primer to introduce email marketing to entrepreneurs and small businesses who are looking to expand their marketing program to include email marketing.
Two resources were shared at the end:
- Lifecycle Marketing – Learn more about Lifecycle Marketing, how it helps you and how you can craft your marketing campaign. It’s free, but Infusionsoft will also follow-up and touch base after you get the content.
- Anatomy of an Email + Subject Lines – While there is no “perfect” email, there are numerous characteristics to consider when creating your next email marketing campaign. It’s a collaboration between Infusionsoft and email marketing expert (and homie), DJ Waldow. It’s hot off the press!
