I’ve committed myself to writing one piece of valuable, informative content driven by my experiences in life and my career. I’ve come to realize that I have a lot to say and perhaps if it helps others, it’s beneficial.
I think writing, even if imperfect, is a healthy and powerful way to express myself. It allows me to rationalize and think about topics and offer insights that might be otherwise stuck in my head. As some people way, “I’m thinking out loud,” I believe that thinking can and should be done in writing. It allows you to look back on it and improve. And trust me, there’s a lot I want to share, but haven’t, simply because I haven’t dedicated the time to making it happen.
Self-publishing is also important to raise one’s recognition and awareness. I think it gives others permission to get inside your head and better understand your approach to various problems. There are also more benefits such as Google Authorship, effectively raising the profile of one’s karma on the web. But, that’s not my focus or aim, but it’s a byproduct of producing informative, inspiring and helpful content.
In other words, I’ve made my concoction for content marketing and social media, and now I’m drinking it.
I have been more active on Medium than on my blog. I like it. I think it’s a great way to share ideas without friction. Feel free to read, comment or recommend my recent works:
