Flickr Adds Video, Users Revolt Again.

I really question the future of Flickr after they have repeatedly ignored user’s feedback. This week, they added the ability for users to upload 90-second video shorts along with photos.

Then the hardcore static photo users came.

I can understand this backlash. I too would be pretty pissed if a Web site I once loved changes its offering to include other forms of media (video) to what I’m accustomed to (images).

How tolerant are Flickr users to the company’s abuses? If it’s so bad, then delete your images and take it elsewhere (Google Picasa?). Flickr’s only asset is your photos. Instead of adding more assets to their index, take it with you.

Why doesn’t Flickr open up their blog to comments? It can’t be that bad. (Or is it?)
