Mozilla Aims to Set World Record for Most Downloaded Software in 24 Hours

For the third Firefox release, Mozilla Corporation, will try to get a page in the 2008 World Records for the most software installed software in 24 hours. Right now, the date isn’t disclosed, but avid Firefox users can pledge to participate and get a reminder e-mail to download Firefox.

More information can be found at http://www.spreadfirefox.com/en-US/worldrecord/

For those hesitant to upgrade, I’ve been using Firefox Beta 3.0 RC1, and it has been very reliable and much faster than the 2.x version. It’s a seamless upgrade and you’ll love it.
