Help Set a Record: Firefox 3.0 Download Day (6/17)

Just wanted to remind you that you can help set a record and land Mozilla Firefox into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most downloaded software in one day. It’s easy, on 6/17 (Tuesday), head on over to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ and download Firefox 3.0.

Here is a copy of the e-mail Mozilla sent to remind users who pledged to upgrade on ‘Download Day’:

Download Day 2008

Don’t forget to be part of Firefox’s Download Day!

Mark your calendar, wrap a ribbon around your finger or write a little sticky yellow note. Download Day will start on June 17, 2008.

Pledge Map

From my experience, Firefox 3 is hands-down the fastest Web Browser compared to Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Safari and even Camino. Definitely upgrade when this gets released.

One note of caution: A number of Firefox 2.x addons (“extensions”) aren’t compatible yet, so you may have do without some addons for a while. Rest assured, StumbleUpon, Adblock Plus and Web Developer work great.
